Eye spy with my little eye…

If you happened to catch the sneak peak on my last post, this “new to me” cabinet was a simple DIY and the new home of all of my yarns (bye bye red cabinet). I found this cute little cabinet on the marketplace and thought it was the perfect addition to the room. I almost kept it as is but upon closer inspection, I realized that it really needed a good coat of paint and some other upgrades (of course).

So I sanded the areas that needed sanding and pulled out the rest of my pink paint I used on my desk makeover.

I decided to keep the legs the green for a pop of color (not at all because I was lazy). Then I added the same handles that I used on the awesome arch cabinet drawers.

More pop!

But I wasn’t done! Did you know that Target also sells Rifle Paper Company products, including their peel and stick wallpaper lines? Well they do! And, for some reason, it was on sale WITH a circle offer AND I used a gift card I got from buying other things we already buy. This was how I justified the purchase – don’t judge.

The width of the paper ended up being almost perfect so I just measured and cut out what I needed to cover the back wall and shelf in one sheet. I started at the top and just smoothed it out as I peeled the paper. It was a good afternoon project.

Vola! It’s not perfect but it will be full to the brim with yarn so…

I still don’t love the placement in the room (nobody puts baby in the corner! – yes I’m old) and am planning on moving some things around again. But for now, it serves its purpose (keeping Bandit away from all the yarn).
